Session Fees
One-on-One Sessions:
These are direct and individual exchanges that take place either online or in-person between yourself and Nik.
Please note that the times listed below account for direct therapy time, after each session, 10 minutes is dedicated to administrative tasks such as note-taking and billing.
Initial Consultation: $45
Duration: 25 min
This is your opportunity to state your therapeutic goals, ask me any questions as well as assess if the fit feels right for you.
Initial Psychotherapy Session: $175
Duration: 50 min
Available: Online or In-person
Extended Psychotherapy Session: $220
Duration: 75 min

In British Columbia, therapy services provided by Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) and Registered Clinical Social Workers (RSW) are often covered by private insurance plans.
However, coverage for these services vary significantly depending on your specific insurance provider and plan.
Please contact your provider prior to your first psychotherapy session to assess whether or not Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) or Registered Clinical Social Workers (RSW) are included in your insurance plan in order to verify how your plan compensates you for these types of services.

Unfortunately not at this time. As such, you will be provided with a digital receipt after your session, once received this can simply be submitted to your insurance provider.

Psychotherapy session fees may be eligible for a tax deduction as a medical expense.
Please check with a tax professional to determine if you qualify for potential savings.

Cancellations must be made 48 prior the scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations made within 48 hours notice are subject to the full cost of the appointment fee and will be due at the time of the scheduled appointment.
In other words, any email/text message/telephone call made to cancel your session must be sent prior to the 48 hour mark of the beginning of your appointment time. In such an instance, Nik will confirm that she has received your message, please note that this may be after that time.
Please understand that the 48 hour notice window has been created to allow sufficient time for other clients to claim this particular time slot should they require it.
Absent or No Show appointments are subject to the full cost of your appointment fee.
If you are in fact running late, please do not hesitate to let Nik know by email/text message/telephone call. She will attempt to contact you 10 minutes into the appointment, if she has not heard from you 20 minutes into the scheduled appointment time, the appointment will be deemed a “no show” and the full cost of the appointment will be charged at the time of the appointment.
